Colorado adopted a presidential primary following a 2016 statewide vote. In the state's March presidential primary in 2020, Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders and former President Donald Trump took Colorado's respective Democrat and Republican votes. However, current President Joe Biden won 10 Super Tuesday states on his way to the Democratic nomination and presidency.
