2024 New Mexico Election Results

Election Date: Nov. 5, 2024 | Updated 2:39 PM EST Dec. 5, 2024
Republican Nella Domenici, daughter of six-term Sen. Pete Domenici, is trading on her name and Wall Street business experience to unseat Democrat Martin Heinrich in the U.S. Senate. She's not the only Republican who is hoping New Mexico's conservative voters show up to the polls on Nov. 5. Yvette Herrell wants the District 2 seat back. She lost it to Xotchitl Torres Small and it's now held by Democrat Gabe Vasquez, after the 2020 redistricting stretched the district past its traditional oil and gas borders to include urban areas of central and northern New Mexico. New Mexicans continue to grapple with their cultural values, political ideology and need to see the state's education and child welfare systems reformed in the 2024 election.
