Election Date: Nov. 5, 2024 | Updated 2:39 PM EST Dec. 5, 2024
Vermont voters in the 2024 election will be deciding a host of questions who will serve as their governor and lieutenant governor, representatives for the state legislature and other state constitutional offices, the U.S. House of Representatives and one of the state’s two U.S. Senate seats. Voters will also decide who will receive the state’s Electoral College votes for president and vice president. For a little history, Republican candidate and former President Donald Trump received 31% of the vote in 2020 when he ran against President Joe Biden, who received 66% of the state’s votes. Biden also won the national race. In 2016 when Trump won the national race, he received support from 30% of Vermont voters compared to 57% of voters who picked Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton.
