The events of Jan. 6, 2021 are well-documented: after supporters of former President Trump gathered in Washington, DC, and attended the “Save America Rally,” many converged on the U.S. Capitol building and began to riot. Capitol security was breached and the building was overrun and vandalized. Rioters and security staff were injured, and some died.
