A former Big Lots store in Connecticut has been acquired by rival retail chain Burlington, according to court filings.

After the retailer filed for bankruptcy last year, Gordon Brothers, a Boston-based investment group bought Big Lots and announced in January that it was selling some stores' leases, including all six locations still open in Connecticut.

Bill Read, executive vice president of Retail Specialists, a commercial real estate firm that specializes in retail properties, shared the list of stores acquired by Burlington on LinkedIn.

There are already more than a dozen Burlington stores in Connecticut.

Which CT Big Lots stores were acquired by Burlington?

According to Read, the Big Lots store in North Haven is the only store that has been purchased by Burlington so far.

What is Burlington? How many are in CT?

Burlington's website says it sells "wide assortment of low priced brand name ladies, men’s, kids/baby apparel and accessories, home décor items and much more."
