Ocean State Job Lot acquires one former Big Lots store in Massachusetts. Here's where

Ocean State Job Lot has acquired more than a dozen former Big Lots stores around the country, including one in Massachusetts, the company announced Wednesday.
The retail chain said it is finalizing a deal to take over 15 Big Lots locations in New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, New York, Massachusetts, Maine and Vermont.
One of the stores is the former Big Lots in Webster.
Big Lots was sold to Gordon Brothers, an investment firm, after it announced it would be closing all its stores last year. Gordon Brothers put the Webster store's lease up for sale in January.

Ocean State Job Lot announced it purchased the lease of just one former Big Lots store in Massachusetts.
The company is taking over the Webster store, which is located at 116 E Main St. In a release, it said the store will open in mid-summer 2025.
What will happen to other Big Lots stores in MA?
Big Lots had nearly 20 stores in Massachusetts before its shuttering. So far, a few of the locations have been purchased by other retailers.
According to court filings earlier this month, the Big Lots stores in Fitchburg and Pittsfield were purchased by Ollie's Bargain Outlet. Burlington also acquired the store in Revere.
