Gadgets to get you through Coachella (and any other music festival)
Coachella 2013 begins Friday, April 12.
Coachella, a music festival which will begin this weekend in Indio, Calif., boasts over 120 artists in two weekends.
Similar to its counterparts like Ultra Musical Festival, Electric Daisy Carnival and Sensation White, Coachella brings music-lovers together for daylong performances in, well, large, vacant fields.
A recent Los Angeles Times article offers some tips to survive this year's festival as well as others to come.
Smartphone apps
Make sure your phone is up to date with the latest apps including Shazam, an app that, just by listening to a short clip, can identify a song's name and artist.

Don't forget apps like Instagram, Vine, Ecograph and GifBoom so you can document your experience for all of your friends to see!
Smartphone charger
Although Coachella will be equipped with charging stations, you don't want to miss your favorite band because you're stuck waiting in line to charge your device.
Instead, portable devices like the HyperJuice Plug and the Mophie Juice Air Pack are great for on-the-go charging.
Handy fan
Although the portable charging devices will cost you a hefty sum, portable fans are inexpensive and can be purchased at a drug store or convenience store. A portable fan (with extra batteries) is a must-have to survive the heat.
A point-and-shoot camera, portable grill and headphones are also some good ideas for your fun-filled weekend. See more must-have items here.
