Shonda Rhimes' women stars make ad for Hillary

Shonda Rhimes' collective of talented women stars -- Kerry Washington, Viola Davis and Ellen Pompeo -- have come out for Hillary, as has the ground-breaking showrunner herself.

The stars of ScandalHow to Get Away With Murder and Grey's Anatomy point out their characters' own strengths, but note that in the "real world? The real world has Hillary Clinton. A bona fide, rolls-up-her-sleeves-fights-for-what's-right-in-it-for-you-won't-back-down champion for all of us."

Clinton, naturally, appreciates the support.

Davis, who stars as Annalise Keating on How to Get Away with  Murder, was the first black woman to win an Emmy Award for best actress in a drama. In her speech, Davis, to much applause, quoted Harriet Tubman and then said, “The only thing that separates women of color from everyone else is opportunity. You cannot win an Emmy for roles that are simply not there.”
