Oceania Cruises unveils first sailing to Bonaire

Oceania Cruises has announced plans for its first cruise to Bonaire.

The upscale line says the 1,250-passenger Riviera will visit the Caribbean island in early 2014 on a 14-day sailing out of Miami. The "Caribbean Sand & Sea" voyage also will include stops in Aruba, Curacao, Grenada, Barbados, St. Vincent, Saint Lucia, Antigua and St. Barts.

Fares for the March trip start at $3,499 per person, based on double occupancy.

The new Caribbean cruise is one of 13 the Riviera will sail during the winter of 2013-2014 as it returns to the region for a second time. Launched earlier this year, the Riviera also is spending the coming winter in the Caribbean.

Oceania also says it will offer its first sailing to Aitutaki in the Cook Islands in April 2014. The line's 1,250-passenger Marina will visit the port during a 14-day "Tahitian Pearls" itinerary out of Papeete, Tahiti. The voyage also will include stops at Moorea, Bora Bora, Rangiroa and several other French Polynesian islands. Fares start at $4,799 per person.

Oceania says Marina will spend the winter of 2013-2014 sailing a series of 10- to 18-day South Pacific itineraries that will include visits in Tahiti, Australia, New Zealand and the Coral Sea.
