Deal watch: Cunard launches trans-Atlantic sale

U.K.-based Cunard Line today kicked off a five-day promotion on trans-Atlantic voyages.

The Cross the Pond Sale, as it's being called, offer customers who book a trans-Atlantic crossing on the 2,620-passenger Queen Mary 2 a free upgrade and up to $150 per cabin in on-board spending credits.

As part of the promotion, Cunard also is reducing the non-refundable deposit required to hold a cabin.

Trans-Atlantic cruise fares during the sale start at $999 per person for a windowless "inside" cabin, the line says. Ocean-view and balcony cabins start at $1,199.

The promotion runs through March 11. Customers should reference promo code R5C.
