Coming in 2014: A cruise for chocoholics
Fans of artisanal chocolates will want to check out the latest offering from river line AmaWaterways: The Chocolate Connoisseurs Cruise.
Kicking off April 28, 2014, the seven-night voyage on the Danube will be led by star chocolatier Norman Love, the founder of Florida-based Norman Love Confections.
AmaWaterways says the sailing will take place on the 164-passenger AmaCerto and feature Norman Love-created desserts, a chocolate mini-buffet extravaganza, educational seminars on chocolates and private chocolate-making demonstrations.
Also on the schedule is a "Sachertorte & Schlumberger Cellar Tour" and chocolate tastings. Love will share his knowledge of chocolate throughout the voyage, the line says.
Fares for the sailing start at $3,099 per person, based on double occupancy. A three day add-on visit to Prague is available for another $750.
AmaWaterways says customers who book by March 31 will receive a 5% early booking discount on the cruise portion of the trip and a $100 shipboard credit.
The sailing is being organized by travel planners Steinman and Associates. More information is online at normanlovechocolatecruise.com.
