Deal Watch: Royal Caribbean kicks off holiday promotion

Thinking about a cruise around Christmastime? You'll want to take a look at the new promotion from Royal Caribbean, which brings on-board credits of up to $200 for sailings from Dec. 18-31.

Unveiled today, the Holiday Cruise Sale, as it's being called, applies to voyages of five nights or longer on any of the line's 21 ships around the globe.

Under the terms of the promotion, customers booking windowless "inside" cabins and ocean-view cabins will receive a $100 per cabin credit; those booking balcony cabins and suites will get a $200 credit.

The promotion is applicable for all new individual bookings from customers in North and South America, and is not combinable with Crown & Anchor discounts, Royal Caribbean shareholder benefits and other promotional offers.

The promotion will continue through July 31.
