Love to paint? This cruise is for you

River line AmaWaterways is touting a new trip designed to bring out your inner Monet.

The Art Illumination Cruise, as its being called, will take place on the Seine River in northwestern France and include deck-top painting sessions with an expert art teacher.

Kicking off in Paris on Aug. 14, the seven-night voyage on the 150-passenger AmaLegro includes visits to a number of art-related stops including Monet's famous gardens in Giverny and Van Gogh's former home in Auvers-sur-Oise.

After visiting the art sites, passengers will join Los Angeles-based art teacher Elizabeth Grebler for painting lessons on the Sun Deck of the ship. No painting experience is necessary.

AmaWaterways will provide easels, canvases, brushes and paints for passengers who want to take part in the painting lessons.
