Deal watch: Star Clippers touts holiday cruise offer
Looking for a last-minute deal on a holiday cruise? If you're a solo traveler, Star Clippers may be your line.
In a new promotion, the sailing ship operator is waiving the "single supplement" that solo travelers must pay to occupy a cabin designed for two on a trio of holiday sailings.
The voyages, all in the Caribbean, are the Dec. 20 and 27 sailing of the 227-passenger Royal Clipper and the Dec. 20 sailing of the 170-passenger Star Clipper.
As part of the promotion, passengers booking the sailings will receive complimentary champagne and sweets. Customers booking the Dec. 20 sailings also will receive a $250 per person onboard credit. Customers booking the Dec. 27 sailing will receive a complimentary one-hour massage.
Royal Clipper's Dec. 20 sailing is a seven-night trip from Barbados with calls at Rodney Bay, St. Lucia; Cabrits and Roseau, Dominica; Falmouth Harbour, Antigua; Basseterre, St. Kitts (on Christmas Eve); Terre de Haut, Iles des Saintes (on Christmas day); and Fort de France, Martinique. Fares start at $1,932.
Star Clipper's Dec. 20 sailing is a seven-night trip from St. Maarten with calls at Charlestown, Nevis; Cabrits; Terre de Haut; Deshaies, Guadeloupe (on Christmas Eve); Falmouth Harbour (on Christmas day); and Gustavia, St. Barts. Fares start at $1,872.
Royal Clipper's Dec. 27 sailing is a seven-night trip from Bridgetown, Barbados with calls at St. George's, Grenada; Tobago Cays, Grenadines; Bequia, St. Vincent (for New Year's Eve); Fort de France; and Marigot Bay, St. Lucia. Fares start at $1,932.
The offer is available to residents of the USA, Canada and Latin America.
