Deal watch: Luxury cruises on sale

Luxury line Seabourn today is out with a promotion for Wave season — the period from January through March when a large percentage of cruises are booked.

The Seattle-based operator's Signature Savings Event brings reduced rates on dozens of voyages, a free upgrade from an ocean-view to a balcony cabin, and an additional 15% savings when customers book select back-to-back sailings.

Seabourn also is offering a $1,000 per suite shipboard credit to customers booking a penthouse or premium suite on select sailings.

The promotion is valid with more than 70 sailings departing between April and October.

Other lines that have rolled out a Wave season promotion in recent days include Norwegian, which is offering a choice of perks to customers who book by the end of January.
