Deal watch: South Pacific, Caribbean cruises on sale


It's deal time again at Paul Gauguin Cruises, the leader in sailings to the South Pacific.

The upscale line is out with a promotion on select 2015 voyages in the region on the 332-passenger Paul Gauguin as well as a single Caribbean sailing on the 90-passenger Tere Moana.

Savings from previously advertised fares range from $850 to $3,500 per person, depending on the departure date for the cruise and cabin category. Bookings must be made by Feb. 28.

Cruises included in the promotion:

- Seven-night Tahiti & the Society Islands sailings departing on April 4, May 9, May 16 and May 23 now start at $4,095 per person (down from $5,045). A seven-night sailing on July 4 now starts at $4,195 down from $5,195.

- Eleven-night Cook Islands & Society Islands voyages on April 11, May 30 and July 18 now start at $4,845 per person (down from $5,895).

-- A 10-night Society Islands & Tuamotus sailing on April 29 now starts at $4,395 per person (down from $5,295).

- A seven-night Caribbean sailing from Colon, Panama to Philipsburg, St. Maarten departing on March 20 now starts at $2,645 (down from $3,495).
