Deal watch: Silversea to offer free airfare to Asia
With drinks and gratuities already included in the cruise fare, luxury line Silversea is going more all-inclusive by throwing in free air with 17 Asia cruises in 2016.
Itineraries include such "bucket list" destinations as Borneo, Bangkok, Halong Bay (Vietnam) and Yangon (Myanmar). The sailings are all on the line's 382-passenger Silver Shadow.
Silversea is also sweetening the pot with select complimentary excursions, an hour of free Wi-Fi daily (unlimited Wi-Fi for those in top-tier suites), airport transfers and a two-night, pre-cruise hotel stay at a five-star Shangri-La hotel – in either Hong Kong, Singapore or Tokyo, depending on the cruise itinerary.
Air is economy class, from more than 50 gateways in the U.S. and Canada. Passengers can upgrade to business class from $1,999 each way. Sample deal: Fares for a seven-day cruise, round-trip from Singapore to Indonesia, Thailand and Malaysia, embarking on February 6, 2016, are from $4,550 per person.
The complimentary Silver Shore Select excursions are available at every port of call. There are also tours available for purchase.
