Where will Universal’s Epic Universe, Helios Grand Hotel be located? Check other side of I-4
We're in the home stretch — we're less than a year away from the opening date of Universal Orlando's newest theme park.
Last year, Universal officials confirmed its opening date for the highly anticipated Epic Universe, highlighting Thursday, May 22 of next year for its debut.
There will be five new themed lands within the park. Altogether, these lands will have “more than 50 awe-inspiring attractions, entertainment, dining and shopping experiences,” according to the resort.
It will also have a new hotel located adjacent to the park, the Helios Grand Hotel. Universal Orlando have previously shared that the guest rooms and suites at Universal Helios Grand Hotel will "evoke the tranquility of a blissful garden," adding that many of the rooms will offer views of the new theme park.
The first phase of tickets and reservations have already kicked off. But those who have been to Universal Orlando might be wondering where exactly this new theme park will be going.
Where is Epic Universe and Helios Grand Hotel being built?
Epic Universe will be located in Universal's new south campus, a bit further away from the other two parks, across Interstate 4. The official address is 4700 E. Sand Lake Road in Orlando.
As for the hotel, it will join Epic Universe on the new campus.
How long will it take to get from Universal Orlando's other theme parks to Epic Universe?
Officials have shared the new park will be located roughly 10 to 15 minutes away from its existing theme parks.
They also said the resort will provide free transportation between its parks. It will also be available between Epic Universe and Universal hotels.
How big will Epic Universe, Helios Grand Hotel be?
Officials have confirmed that Epic Universe will be the biggest of Universal Orlando’s theme parks.
“Epic Universe represents a tremendous addition, almost doubling the size of Universal Orlando Resort,” Universal Destinations and Experiences President and CEO Mark Woodbury said in a video introducing the park. “This gives us the opportunity to bring people to Universal Orlando for an entire week of the most incredible experiences they can imagine.”
As for the Helios Grand Hotel, it will offer 500 resort rooms in total for guests, including 35 suites.

The first phase of tickets has already gone on sale as of Oct. 22, as multiday tickets and vacation packages.
Guests will be able to choose from three, four, or five-day tickets with only one of those days at Epic Universe and the rest at Universal Studios Florida or Universal Islands of Adventure. Universal Volcano Bay water park tickets can also be added.
On Thursday, Oct. 24, Universal Orlando annual pass holders will get to be the first to buy specially priced single-day Epic Universe tickets. Pricing will be revealed that same day. Each pass holder will only be able to purchase one add-on ticket per date, with a limit of six tickets per purchase transaction to accommodate pass holders with other pass holders linked to their accounts, according to Universal.
Reservations for Helios Grand Hotel have also opened on Oct. 22 for stays beginning May 22.
What are all the themed lands within Epic Universe?
▶ Celestial Park – The first-world guests enter the park will feature relaxing gardens, a “wet play area,” a grand carousel, and Starfall Racers, a dual-launch racing roller coaster with 5,000 feet of track and speeds up to 62 miles per hour. Celestial Park will also serve as the gateway to Epic Universe’s four other worlds, which will be accessed by themed portals.
▶ How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk will give fans of the “How to Train Your Dragon” franchise a chance to finally soar like Hiccup, Astrid and their fellow Dragon Riders do on screen.
▶ Dark Universe – Guests can expect to “encounter everything from the experiments of Dr. Victoria Frankenstein to the shadowy landscape where monsters roam in a world of myth and mystery.”
▶ Super Nintendo World will bring guests into the fan-favorite video game franchise for adventures with Mario, Princess Peach and more, like at Universal Studios Hollywood.
▶ The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic will blend "1920s wizarding Paris from Warner Bros. Pictures’ ‘Fantastic Beasts’ films with the iconic British Ministry of Magic from the Harry Potter series,” according to Universal Orlando, which is already home to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley.
