Prince Harry walks in Princess Diana's footsteps as he visits same hospital 30 years later
Prince Harry returned Thursday to the same children's hospital his mother, Princess Diana, visited 30 years ago.
The new dad made a stop at Sheffield Children's Hospital in Sheffield, England, to open a new wing of the hospital, walking in his late mother's footsteps as he continues her legacy of philanthropy.
The visit marked a special moment for the Duke of Sussex: Princess Diana visited the hospital in November 1989, when Harry was 5 years old, signing the guest book during her trip to the facility.
Harry got the opportunity to sign the same guest book Thursday.
He was shown photos of his mother during the hospital visit, smiling to himself as he flipped through pages in an album of Princess Diana sitting bedside with children and meeting with the hospital staff.
Like his mother 30 years before him, Harry was all smiles during his visit.

After officially opening the wing (and getting some face time with the hospital's mascot), Harry got to meet with the patients and their families, with one young child showing a particular interest in the royal's red beard.
Noah Nicholson, 1, made the royal laugh with his repeated attempts to touch Harry's facial hair.
The hospital visit was the first of Harry's three engagements on Thursday, all focused on his work campaigning for wounded warriors and ailing children.
As the founder and passionate patron of the Invictus Games, Harry also dropped in on the Invictus UK Trials at the English Institute of Sport in Sheffield, which will help select the team representing the United Kingdom at the forthcoming Invictus Games The Hague 2020.
He also was scheduled to visit Sheffield Hallam University to meet academics and students working on a virtual reality rehabilitation project, which uses technology to make it easier for amputees to train themselves to use prosthetic limbs.
