Jenna Dewan fears the backlash for criticizing Beyoncé's 'back in the day' walk
Jenna Dewan is probably somewhere hiding out from the Beyhive after criticizing Beyoncé's walk during Tuesday's episode of "Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen."
Dewan was responding to a fan question about her biggest pet peeve when it comes to seeing pop stars dance. The "Step Up" star said she didn't like the way certain celebrities walked in heels and got up to demonstrate what she meant by mimicking a bouncelike stride.
Cohen asked Dewan who she thought was most guilty of not "walking through their heels," as the dancer put it.
"Y’all are going to kill me, but back in the day, Beyoncé did that, but now she walks perfectly through her heels," Dewan said.
She immediately knew fans were going to react and added that she loved Beyoncé.
Cohen asked Dewan whether she's ever had the chance to work with Beyoncé. Dewan said she hadn't but that she thinks Beyoncé is "amazing."
"I think the chances just went back down," Cohen joked.
The dancer seemed to agree her criticism may have landed her in hot water with the artist's team.
"I know, I don’t think I’m being hired now," Dewan responded.
The actress/dancer is currently expecting a child with boyfriend, Steve Kazee, 17 months after her split with Channing Tatum, Dewan and Kazee confirmed to Paste BN.
“We are beyond overjoyed and couldn’t be happier to be expanding our family!” the couple said in a joint statement.
Dewan already shares daughter Everly, 6, with ex-husband Tatum. This child will be the first for actor Kazee, 43.
