Helen Mirren is not Keanu Reeves' girlfriend, but she didn't mind the comparison.

Reeves stepped on to the red carpet with artist Alexandra Grant on Sunday for the LACMA Art + Film Gala in Los Angeles, and some of his fans freaked out.

The "Matrix" star, 55, was photographed holding hands with Grant, 46, which ignited Twitter into thinking the pair are dating. However, many were confused and thought Grant was Mirren.

During an interview with Entertainment Tonight at the "The Good Liar" premiere Wednesday, the actress, 74, shared her thoughts on being mistaken on social media for the actor's girlfriend.

"I saw that," Mirren said of the social media mix-up. "That was very flattering on me, you know, because she's obviously lovely."

Mirren also had nothing but lovely things to say about Reeves himself.

"I do know Keanu very well. He did a film with my husband, and he is just the most adorable, lovely person," she said, referring to the 1997 film "The Devil's Advocate." "So she's a lucky girl, and I'm sure that he's a lucky boy."

Grant and Reeves own a publishing company together called X Artists' Books. Grant also worked on two of Reeves' books: "Ode to Happiness" and "Shadows."

Fans were excited for Reeves, saying that his relationship with Grant is making them fall more in love with the actor.

"Obviously Keanu is trying to make the whole world fall in love with him," wrote Twitter user @NotYourDarling2 in response to a People magazine article about Reeves and Grant.

A few people even applauded Reeves for having an "age appropriate" relationship.

"Was it possible to like this man more? In these times of stars going for women decades younger and #Housefull4 .. Keanu Reeves with his age appropriate girl friend .. 55-46," wrote Twitter user Gargi Rawat.
