Marc Anthony-owned yacht catches fire, capsizes in Miami: ‘Everyone is safe’
A yacht owned by Marc Anthony caught fire in Miami Wednesday, the singer's rep confirmed to Us Weekly and Local 10 news.
“Everyone is safe,” his rep told Us Weekly. “Marc was not on board.”
Miami Fire Rescue shared photos of the burning yacht, which measures 120 feet, on its official Twitter account.
According to the post, officials responded to the fire around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday night.
"Units from Miami-Dade Fire Rescue and Miami Beach Fire Rescue were called upon to assist with water assets," the tweet continued. "Fire was under control within 2 hours and no other boats were damaged."
The large boat, whose name "Andiamo" is seen in the photos, was docked at a marina on 888 MacArthur Causeway, a previous tweet confirmed.
In the photos, officials are seen helping put out the fire. One photo shows the yacht capsized, or fallen onto its side.
Anthony, 51, was recently in Puerto Rico, where he performed on Sunday as part of his 2019 Opus Tour.
He has not commented on the fire on social media.
Hours before the fire, however, the singer posted about his Spain tour dates for 2020.
