'I lost the baby': 'Teen Mom OG' star Catelynn Lowell suffered miscarriage on Thanksgiving
"Teen Mom OG" star Catelynn Lowell is opening up about a heartbreaking loss.
The reality star, 28, revealed on social media Tuesday that she suffered a miscarriage on Thanksgiving Day.
"I WAS pregnant and excited to share it with all of you and I am heartbroken to reveal that I lost the baby," Lowell, 28, wrote on Twitter Tuesday. "This is painful to share."
In an interview with Champion Daily, Lowell revealed that she and husband Tyler Baltierra found out they were expecting baby No. 4 "about 3 days before Thanksgiving." Then, tragedy struck.
"On Thanksgiving 2020 I started bleeding," she told the outlet. "No matter what, I believe that when a woman sees a positive test you automatically start getting excited… all of that came crashing down."
Lowell continued: "We lost the baby. I was overwhelmed by sadness and felt my emotions… experiencing one miscarriage in my past I knew it was a sad possibility."

In 2018, Lowell and Baltierra previously opened up about suffering a miscarriage during an episode of "Teen Mom OG."
"It’s very traumatic. When you see her shaking and she’s got blood everywhere," Baltierra said on an episode that aired Feb. 26, 2018. "We just held each other. There’s nothing you can really do."
On Tuesday, Lowell told the Champion Daily that her family now has "two beautiful angels watching over us and our children."
Lowell shares daughters Novalee Reign, 5, and Vaeda Luma, 1, with husband Baltierra. Lowell also gave birth to 11-year-old Carly, whom the couple placed for adoption on MTV's "16 and Pregnant," in 2009.
Lowell and Baltierra tied the knot in August 2015.

Lowell said she decided to share her loss publicly to let people who suffer from miscarriages and pregnancy loss know that "you are not alone."
"We are all in this together and everyone experiences pain, loss, and the recovery from it and I am still in the thick of dealing with this loss as it was recent and all the emotional trauma that follows such a loss in an already horrifically hard year," she wrote. "Thank you in advance for your prayers, love, and support."
The reality star continued: "I opened up about this only to help those who are experiencing the same thing to know that there’s someone else every day experiencing this."
Lowell adds to a growing list of stars, including Chrissy Teigen, Duchess Meghan, Hilaria Baldwin, Christina Perri and Meghan McCain, who have shared their grief to help change the stigma, secrecy and shame surrounding pregnancy loss and miscarriages.
According to Mayo Clinic, "about 10 to 20 percent of known pregnancies end in miscarriage."
