Andrea Bordeaux is responding to reports she willingly left Starz series "Run the World" over COVID-19 protocols.

The actress, who plays Ella McFair on the show, shared a screenshot of a Deadline article to Instagram Monday to clarify her exit, underlining the words "Bordeaux opted to leave the series." The outlet first reported she would not return for Season 2 of the show because Lionsgate Television studio requires cast and crew to be fully vaccinated.

"Despite what the article says, I did not opt to leave the series and Lionsgate made no efforts to find a workable solution. I was fired," Bordeaux captioned the post.

Paste BN has reached out to Bordeaux and Lionsgate for comment.

The actress also shared videos from her time on set and wrote that playing the character was "a dream come true" and she will miss her cast members.

"I would have loved to continue to grow with this delightful character and having to come to terms with this sharp turn in my life, my dream, and career these past several weeks has been heartbreaking beyond words," Bordeaux wrote.

She added: "My heart is with all of the people around the world who feel that they are losing so much due to their choice to stand in their convictions and to honor their deepest core beliefs. What I know for certain is that when you are leading with your heart and honoring the path that Spirit has laid out for you, nothing can be taken away that will not be returned 1000 fold. I surrender to that with profound Peace and Joy and I encourage you to do the same."

Bordeaux is not the only celebrity speaking out about choosing to not take the COVID-19 vaccine.

Last month, Marvel's Evangeline Lilly revealed on Instagram that she attended a protest "to support bodily sovereignty."

The "Ant-Man and the Wasp" star shared images from the protest outside the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C., including shots of signs that read "Vaxxed Democrat for Medical Freedom," "Nurses for Vaxx Choice" and "Feds for Medical Freedom."

"I believe nobody should ever be forced to inject their body with anything, against their will, under threat of: violent attack, arrest or detention without trial, loss of employment, homelessness, starvation, loss of education, alienation from loved ones, excommunication from society…under any threat whatsoever," Lilly wrote in the caption.

Public health experts and agencies say COVID-19 vaccines are safe and effective and are recommended for those who are eligible, including children ages 5 and older.

Many celebrities have voiced their support of getting vaccinated, including Demi Lovato, John Legend, Jimmy Kimmel and Mindy Kaling.

The U.S. has recorded more than 76 million confirmed COVID-19 cases and more than 902,000 deaths, according to Johns Hopkins University data. More than 212 million Americans – 64.1% – are fully vaccinated, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
