Hugh Grant responds to 'Real Housewives' star Luann de Lesseps' claim they made out
The reality-TV personality alleges she orchestrated her kiss with the British actor.

The British actor is responding to reality-TV personality Luann de Lesseps' recent claim that the two made out at a New York restaurant several years ago. Lesseps, who referenced her alleged smooch with Grant on a Nov. 10 episode of "Watch What Happens Live," dished on their encounter in an interview with TooFab published Friday.
"A girlfriend of mine called me and was like Hugh Grant is at Pierre's, a restaurant in The Hamptons," Lesseps told the outlet. "I called and said, 'Get the table right next to Hugh Grant.' I had my family over, my brother was visiting me, and I said, 'Let's go.'"
At the restaurant, "The Real Housewives of New York City" alum said she deliberately pushed her chair out to bump into Grant, which purportedly led to a conversation between the two.
"I go, 'I'm so sorry. Can I buy you a shot, I feel terrible,'" Lesseps recalled, to which Grant allegedly agreed. "Before you know it, we are taking shots and making out heavily at the table. My brother was like, 'I can't believe you're making out with Hugh Grant', and I was like, 'Neither can I.'"

In an X post published Monday, Grant shared a screenshot of a news article on Lesseps' kissing anecdote.
"Steady on," Grant wrote in response. "I do remember meeting a charming RHNY in a restaurant, but I'd like to stress it was about 15 years ago."
While Grant said he doesn't remember sharing a kiss with Lesseps at the time, he didn't entirely refute her account. "I don't recall shots or kissing but her memory might be better than mine," he concluded.
Lesseps has yet to respond to Grant's post, but on Monday, the "RHONY" star reposted a clip of her TooFab interview on X that includes Grant's response.
