Keller Fornes, actor and 'County Rescue' star, dies at 32: 'A special person'
Actor Keller Fornes, best known for his role on the Great American Family series "County Rescue," has died. He was 32.
Great American Family paid tribute to Fornes on Monday in a statement posted to Instagram. A cause of death was not disclosed.
"We at Great American Media are deeply saddened by the passing of Keller Fornes," the statement read. "He was a special person and talent as an actor, writer, and director as well as a singer and musician.
"His energy and enthusiasm lifted all he worked with here at Great American Media and the cast and crew of County Rescue. Our prayers are with his family and all those he touched."
Fornes' agent Linda McAlister confirmed the actor's death to Paste BN on Tuesday.
Fornes, who played Griffin on "County Rescue," reportedly died on Dec. 19 in Eastland, Texas, according to an obituary from Lacy Funeral Home. No other details on Fornes' condition prior to his death were shared.
A native of Kerrville, Texas, Fornes showed an early interest in the arts through various performances in middle school and high school, which ran the gamut from sketch comedy and pep rallies to community theater and rock n' roll shows with his band, according to Fornes' IMDb page.
In addition to his acting career, Fornes also worked as a director and screenwriter. He wrote and directed a trio of short films — "Luminary," "Insane" and "Has Been" — from 2015-2016, per IMDb.
Fornes' most recent performance was a guest role on the NBC crime drama "Found."
A memorial service for Keller is scheduled to take place Saturday at Cowboy Church of Erath County in Stephenville, Texas, according to Lacy Funeral Home.
