Princess Kate cancer in remission: A timeline of the royal family's biggest moments
Princess Kate's cancer is in remission, she announced Tuesday.
"It is a relief to now be in remission and I remain focussed (sic) on recovery," the Princess of Wales said in a post on social media Tuesday. "As anyone who has experienced a cancer diagnosis will know, it takes time to adjust to a new normal. I am however looking forward to a fulfilling year ahead. There is much to look forward to. Thank you to everyone for your continued support."
Her announcement comes as a welcomed surprise to royal watchers, who have followed her health journey which began with months of speculation about her whereabouts early last year and led to her harrowing revelation of an undisclosed cancer diagnosis.
In recent months, the Princess of Wales, who battled cancer alongside her father-in-law King Charles III, has returned to royal duties and announced in September that she was "doing what I can to stay cancer-free," and despite finishing chemo, her "path to healing and full recovery" remains "long."
