Lainey Wilson engaged to Devlin 'Duck' Hodges after 4 years of dating

Lainey Wilson is right there beside her new fiancé, Devlin "Duck" Hodges.
The singer got engaged to her retired football player boyfriend days ahead of Valentine's Day, she announced in an Instagram post on Wednesday. In a nod to her "Whirlwind" single, she wrote, "4x4xU forever." The caption accompanied a set of photos of the couple outside of a home, seemingly post-proposal.
In one photo, framed photos of the couple can be seen, surrounded by white candles and red roses. And in a video, the country star playfully swaggers down a set of stairs, lugging the rock on her hand before excitedly showing off the ring with a "boom" and giggling off.
Wilson confirmed the couple were dating back in 2023, later telling "The Bobby Bones Show" that she had been dating the former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback for two and a half years before revealing the relationship. She added that she "made him wait" before the announcement.
"He's a good dude. He knows what it's like chasing a dream because he's done that for himself," she said at the time. "He is good as gold, supports me, would never come in between anything that I'm trying to do."
Last month, she joked that she might propose to Hodges this year.
"No pressure, brother! No pressure," Wilson said in an interview with her friend and podcaster Bunnie XO for CMT. "I might have to propose to him. We waiting!"
Bunnie replied: "No, Duck's going to do it. I could feel it," to which Wilson responded, "I like that."
