For Grimes, it's time to open up about parenting with Elon Musk.

The award-winning singer opened up to Time magazine in an interview published Monday about the now-infamous Oval Office appearance by ex-boyfriend Musk who brought their son X, 4, to the White House.

"It was like, 'Grimes slams,' 'Grimes speaks out.' It's like, OK, it was a reply. But I would really like people to stop posting images of my kid everywhere," Grimes told Time regarding the media coverage surrounding her son's appearance. "I think fame is something you should consent to. Obviously, things will just be what they are. But I would really, really appreciate that. I can only ask, so I'm just asking."

Grimes responded to her eldest child's appearance at the White House, writing on X, formerly known as Twitter, that their son of the same name "should not be in public like this. I did not see this, thank u for alerting me. But I'm glad he was polite. Sigh."

Grimes, Elon Musk have long-running feud about parenting three children

Grimes and Musk have long disagreed publicly about their parenting styles. Last year, Grimes took to social media to share the difficulties of her dispute with Elon Musk over custody of the pair's children.

"Spent a year locked in battle in a state with terrible mothers rights having my instagram posts and modeling used as reasons I shouldn't have my kids and fighting and detaching from the love of my life as he becomes unrecognizable to me," the singer wrote on the Musk-owned platform X.

Grimes said she had "a fraction of his resources (or iq/ strategy experience), all the while I didn't see one of my babies for 5 months."

The "Genesis" singer shares three children with the Tesla co-founder: X Æ A-Xii, 4, Exa Dark Sideræl, 3, and Techno Mechanicus, 2.

Elon Musk is father of at least 12 children

Musk is the father of at least 12 publicly known and acknowledged children. Along with the three children Musk shares with Grimes, he also shares two children with Neuralink executive Shivon Zilis and six children with his ex-wife, Canadian author Justine Wilson. Musk and Wilson's first-born child passed away at 10 weeks old in 2002.

Conservative influencer and columnist Ashley St. Clair recently claimed on social media that Musk is also the father of her baby, born last year. Musk has yet to comment.
