Brianna 'Chickenfry' LaPaglia says high-profile Zach Bryan breakup was a 'selfish moment'

Despite her contentious breakup with singer Zach Bryan, Brianna "Chickenfry" LaPaglia has no regrets.
The Barstool Sports personality, who made waves in November with her bombshell revelations on the split, reflected on the controversy in an interview with Elite Daily published Wednesday.
"I always trusted my intuition and my gut, and I did it for me," LaPaglia told the outlet. "It was a selfish moment where I was like, 'I'm doing this for me, and I'm taking me back.'"
Bryan announced his breakup with LaPaglia in October via a post on his Instagram Story. While Bryan praised his ex for loving him "unconditionally for a very long time," LaPaglia did not keep things cordial when it came time to share her side of the story.
Two weeks after Bryan's announcement, LaPaglia opened up about her tumultuous relationship with the country-rock singer in a revealing episode of the "BFFs" podcast, which she co-hosts with Josh Richards.
LaPaglia accused Bryan of emotional abuse and shared that she turned down an alleged $12 million non-disclosure agreement from Bryan's team.
"I don't think you can pay people off that you hurt for them to protect you," LaPaglia said at the time. "That in itself, offering millions of dollars to this apparent beautiful relationship, to keep it a secret, speaks volumes."
Brianna LaPaglia says she's 'emotionally unavailable' after Zach Bryan breakup
Following her breakup with Bryan, LaPaglia isn't looking for a rebound anytime soon.
In her conversation with Elite Daily, the TikToker mused on how heartbreak has changed her outlook on her love life.
"I feel so emotionally unavailable, which is a little upsetting," LaPaglia said. "There have been some really great guys that I think would be amazing for me, but ... I can't even fathom the idea of letting someone in."
However, LaPaglia does know what she's looking for in her next relationship, and it's not another celebrity romance. "I just want a normal person that can laugh with me, and someone that understands my life,” she explained.
"I was really with someone who was my biggest hater, and I was their biggest fan," LaPaglia said. "So I want it to be reciprocated."
While LaPaglia acknowledged that her split from Bryan was a "sad time of my life," she appreciates how her story inspired other women to leave toxic relationships.
"That will always be one of the proudest moments in my life," LaPaglia said.
