Eric Dane and Rebecca Gayheart are making it work amid his ALS diagnosis.

The "Grey's Anatomy" actor and the "Beverly Hills, 90210" star recently reconciled, with Dane, 52, telling ABC News that the pair has "managed to become better friends and better parents."

Dane told Diane Sawyer, in an interview released June 16, that Gayheart, 53, is the first person he calls when he needs support.

"I talk to her every day," he said. "And she is probably my biggest champion, my most stalwart supporter, and I lean on her."

Gayheart filed for divorce from Dane in 2018 after 14 years of marriage, but filed to dismiss the divorce in March, according to E! and People.

The model, who shares daughters Billie, 15, and Georgia, 13, with the "Euphoria" actor, previously told E! the pair are still the "best of friends."

"We are really close. We are great co-parents," she told the outlet in April. "We really figured out the formula to staying a family and I think our kids are benefiting greatly from it, and we are as well."

Their reconciliation comes as Dane battles amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease. Elsewhere in Sawyer's at times emotional interview, the actor revealed his right arm has stopped functioning after he was diagnosed, which he first revealed to People in April.

The actor added that his left arm is also "going," and he estimated he has a "few more months" before "I won't have my left hand either," a fact he called "sobering."
