Bruce Willis' daughter shares new photos from 'great day' with him
Tallulah Willis is providing a glimpse at a "great day" with her dad Bruce Willis.
Willis, 31, in an Instagram post on Sunday, June 22, shared new pictures of the retired actor from a day they spent together. The gallery started with a snap showing Tallulah Willis sitting on the floor and holding her father's hand while he sits in a chair, which was followed by another photo of the two hugging.
"Sunday funday at Grams ! Grateful 🕊️," she captioned the Instagram gallery.
The "Die Hard" star is retired from acting and was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia in 2023. According to the Mayo Clinic, frontotemporal dementia, a term for diseases affecting the "frontal and temporal lobes of the brain," can lead to "extreme changes in behavior and personality" and loss of speech.
In the comments of her Instagram post, Tallulah Willis explained her reasoning for sharing the photos of the "Pulp Fiction" actor after one follower suggested she should not expose her "vulnerable" dad to the public.
"I hear that. As a family we use our discretion when posting," she replied. "Today was a great day filled with smiles. I made the judgement (sic) call to show that to the world, because I know what he means to everyone."
Bruce Willis shares three adult daughters with ex-wife Demi Moore: Rumer, 36; Scout, 33; and Tallulah, 31. He also has two daughters with wife Emma Heming Willis: Mabel, 13, and Evelyn, 11.
The new photos come after the Willis family shared tributes to the former actor on Father's Day this month. In an emotional Instagram post, Willis' wife Heming Willis shared she was feeling "profoundly sad today," reflecting, "I wish, with every cell in my body, that things could be different for him and lighter for our family."
Heming Willis shared throwback photos of her husband spending time with his daughters and wrote, "I miss and mourn what was" and "want it all back."
Willis' family also posted tributes to him in honor of his 70th birthday in March. At the time, Moore shared an Instagram gallery showing a celebration for Willis, which included a picture of him, Moore and all three of their adults daughters sitting on a couch together and laughing.
In March, Heming Willis marked her 16-year anniversary with Willis, saying on Instagram that "we've shared monumental highs and devastating lows, and through it all, we've built something timeless."
