Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds visit Rhode Island farm for horse show: 'They were lovely'
Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds were in Rhode Island over the weekend for a horse show at a local farm, the farm's owner said.
Pam Maloof, the owner of Faith Hill Care Farm in East Greenwich, said Lively and Reynolds visited the farm on Sunday for a horse show that their children were competing in.
Lively and Reynolds' children ride horses out of a barn in New York that is in the same riding league as Faith Hill Care Farm, Maloof said.
Maloof said Lively and Reynolds' children's team was the high points team, meaning it earned the most points at the show.
Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds 'were lovely,' farm owner says
Maloof said Lively and Reynolds "were lovely to everybody," taking photos and signing autographs with attendees.
She also said they offered advice to the riders about the importance of hard work.
After the show, Maloof said they went to a local restaurant, though she declined to give its name out of privacy.
"They went to a local restaurant and bought their team lunch and shared it with my staff," Maloof said. "So they were lovely."
'Like we've been friends forever'
Alicia Cotrone-Leo, Faith Hill Care Farm's assistant manager, said Lively approached her to chat about the insulated Carhartt overalls they were both wearing.
"(We) talked about the farm, talked about ourselves a bit, introduced each other. She was asking about my kids," Cotrone-Leo said. "Pretty basic stuff, like they almost acted like we've been friends forever. It was lovely. There was no awkwardness with conversation, it flowed."
Cotrone-Leo said her two sons were also in attendance at the show, and they got to speak with Reynolds about the "Deadpool" film series.
"He was great with them," she said. "He's amazing with kids. Got right down to their level, chit chatted with them."
Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds have visited Rhode Island before
Sunday's trip was not Lively and Reynolds' first time in the Ocean State.
Their famous friend, Taylor Swift, owns a home in Westerly's Watch Hill neighborhood that they are known to visit from time to time.
Last year, Lively and Reynolds were reported to be visiting Swift's home alongside other A-listers, including Travis Kelce, Patrick Mahomes and Bradley Cooper.
Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds kids
Lively and Reynolds have four kids: James (10), Inez (8), Betty (5) and Olin (2).
Part-time Rhode Islander Swift has incorporated her friends' kids into some of her music, including using Betty and Inez's names in the song "betty" and James' voice in her track "Gorgeous."
