More than two decades after they co-starred as the body-swapping mother and daughter duo in "Freaky Friday," Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis are returning to the big screen together.
"Freakier Friday," a sequel to the 2003 film "Freaky Friday," will be released in theaters on Friday, Aug. 8, after a Los Angeles premiere on July 22.
The 2003 movie is based on the 1972 novel of the same name, which has been adapted across film, TV and theater.
In addition to Lohan and Curtis, much of the cast from the original film will be reprising their roles, including Mark Harmon and Chad Michael Murray.

Curtis and Lohan play a mother and teenage daughter, Tess and Anna Coleman, respectively.
Their characters butt heads as a teenage Anna pursues a music career with her band while Tess plans to marry Ryan Volvo (Mark Harmon).
Following a tense argument and a pair of fortune cookies, Tess and Anna inadvertently find themselves swapping bodies with each other.
The film follows Tess and Anna as they navigate their strange new reality, mending their relationship in the process.

The 2003 version of "Freaky Friday" is available to stream on Disney+.
