Bob Seger announces final farewell-tour dates for North America
Bob Seger locked down the closing stretch of his Roll Me Away farewell tour.
As it now stands, he will wrap up his half-century touring career with a Philadelphia show on Nov. 1, following newly added dates in Boston (Oct. 24), Toronto (Oct. 26) and New York (Oct. 30). Tickets for all four concerts will go on sale Sept. 14, with fan club pre-sales starting Sept. 10.
In a carefully worded release issued early Thursday, the rocker's team declares these to be the "final North American dates" of the Roll Me Away outing, which started last November in Grand Rapids. It's been billed in advertising and on merchandise as "The Final Tour" for the 74-year-old singer.
So the announcement technically leaves open the possibility of Roll Me Away dates overseas — along with later one-off shows here stateside.
