Get ready to set sail. Iconic acoustic rocker Jack Johnson, 2020 Grammy-winning Kentucky natives Cage The Elephant and pop-rock sensation The 1975 will headline The 2020 Forecastle Festival. The three-day outdoor music fest will be held July 17-19 at Waterfront Park in downtown Louisville, Kentucky.

Louisville loves its homegrown music festival and so do tens of thousands of music fans across the country.

Rolling Stone calls AC Entertainment's Forecastle Festival “a mid-sized city fest done right, with a cross-genre slate of national rock, hip-hop and Americana acts, a lovely waterfront setting, a user-friendly layout, and an emphasis on the unpretentious Ohio River city’s dual traditions of bourbon, of course, and indie music that punches above its weight.”

Additional music acts for this summer’s three-day festival include Rainbow Kitten Surprise, Grace Potter, Louisville native and rapper Jack Harlow, Third Eye Blind, Umphrey's McGee and many more. A full list of confirmed artists from the 2020 lineup can be found below.

What’s new at the 2020 Forecastle Festival?

Founded in 2002 by Louisville native JK McKnight, The Forecastle Festival has grown from a small community event to one of the nation’s biggest summer festivals with more than 75,000 music fans attending each summer.

Nominated as Pollstar's Music Festival of the Year for 2019, the summer event rocks Waterfront Park on the banks of the Ohio River not only with stellar music but also with experiences which embody Louisville’s rich culture by showcasing the city’s culinary and arts scene and of course, Kentucky bourbon.

You won’t need a special ticket to enjoy the bourbon experience in 2020. If you are 21 and over, the free Bourbon Experience is held in a shaded area with relaxing lounge areas and seating, intimate workshops, interactive experiences and direct access to bourbon distillers and ambassadors.

New to 2020, the 3-day VIP tickets include access to a misting lounge complete with private bar, a specialty cocktail bar featuring frozen beverages and specialty drinks, a VIP craft bar, daily happy hours curated by Bourbon & Biscuits with complimentary tapas and cooking demonstrations, and a designated VIP festival merch pop-up store.

A step up from general admission, Forecastle will once again offer its Yacht Club ticket option. This ticket features priority entrance lanes into the festival, access to the Boathouse for an air-conditioned getaway, dedicated bars, a misting lounge and more.
