'The White Lotus' theme song, an unexpected club hit, gets EDM remix from DJ Tiësto
If you've been missing the weekly thrill of hearing the catchy theme to "The White Lotus," we have good news for you.
The theme song to Season 2 of the HBO dramedy, which is called "Renaissance" and has already inspired several memes, now has an electronic dance music remix from the Dutch DJ Tiësto.
"As a huge fan of 'The White Lotus' I couldn’t be more excited to be releasing the official remix" Tiësto said in a statement. "I was instantly hooked on the theme song so I had to put my spin on it for my live sets … every time I play it, the crowd goes crazy!"
The DJ added that HBO wanted to partner to "make it official."
The theme song has already inspired a number of remixes. Videos show remixes performed onstage by Sofi Tukker and Diplo. It was also reportedly played during a basketball game in Portland.
Tiësto has been nominated three times at the Grammy Awards and won once, for best remixed recording, non-classical for "All Of Me (Tiësto's Birthday Treatment Remix)" in 2015.
Season 1 of "The White Lotus" clinched 20 nominations and 10 wins — including best limited series, best director for creator Mike White and best supporting actor awards for Murray Bartlett and Jennifer Coolidge — at the Emmy Awards.

Season 2, which premiered in October of last year, was set in Sicily and filmed at the Four Seasons San Domenico Palace.
"Our shoot sprawled way over, but you're in Italy and it was so special to be there," White told Paste BN. "I would sometimes tell friends, 'I'm so tired, it's so stressful,' and they were like, 'Shut up, you're not getting any sympathy.' "
