The wait is finally over for Olivia Rodrigo fans who have been hoping for new music.

Rodrigo is dropping a new single, called "Vampire" on June 30, a little over two years after her Grammy-winning first album "Sour" was released. The singer announced the single on Tuesday through an Instagram post, in which she has a band-aid on her neck that is the same shade as her "Sour" album cover.

The song was a collaboration between Rodrigo and the producer of her debut album, Daniel Nigro.

Along with the announcement, fans learned of a special edition, seven-inch vinyl that will include the song and the first demo of "Vampire" which is currently available to pre-order.

Fans can also pre-order a limited-edition cd version of the song, which also has the first demo, or pre-save the song.

The single comes after a long wait for fans, who have been clamoring for new music since Rodrigo dropped "Sour," which earned her recognition at the 2022 Grammys where she won best new artist, best pop vocal album, and best pop solo performance for her first single, "Drivers License."

Rodrigo went on tour after the success of "Sour," which she wrapped up in July 2022.

Since then, she has teased fans with hints about new music, most recently through an Instagram post celebrating the two-year anniversary of "Sour" where she wrote that "the new stuff is so so so so so close to being done I pinky promise."

The song will be available for streaming on June 30. Until then, fans will have to watch the clock on Rodrigo's website count down to the big release.
