Jason Aldean among Trump inaugural balls performers. Watch his hour-long Liberty Ball set

On Monday evening, country star Jason Aldean performed an hour of hits to honor 47th President Donald Trump during the inaugural Liberty Ball in downtown Washington, D.C.

Alongside artists including hip-hop superstar Nelly, Billboard country and pop chart-topper Jason Aldean performed during President Donald J. Trump's Monday evening Liberty Ball 2025 inauguration festivities at downtown Washington's Walter J. Washington Convention Center.

“It's such an honor to be playing for our president, Donald Trump, tonight in DC. Excited for where we are headed as a country, the feeling here is electric. We can’t wait to rip it up tonight and have some fun,” noted the award-winning performer on social media earlier in the evening.

"It’s a huge day for our country, time to get...back on track. I’m really excited to be here and be a part of it,” Aldean added during the PBS-aired festivities.

Jason Aldean's support of Trump's presidential aspirations

Throughout the past decade, the "Hicktown" vocalist has proudly supported Trump's evolution from an entrepreneur, real estate mogul and television personality into a two-time United States president.

After visiting Trump's Mar-a-Lago golf course and resort in Palm Springs, Florida, in 2020, two years later, in Jan. 2022, Aldean and his wife, Brittany, rang in the New Year with him, proclaiming the then-45th president of the United States as the "GOAT," or the greatest of all time. This followed him stating two months before to Audacy, "At some point, it's gotten to where if you're a conservative and you're in this business, you're not allowed to speak," he noted. "It's hard to go lay my head down at night with a clear conscience, feeling like I'm a coward for not saying the things that I want to say or I feel like need to be said."

During Trump's 2024 Presidential election campaign against incumbent Joe Biden, Aldean appeared at July's Republican National Convention in support of Trump and then notably partnered with him to make a significant donation for Hurricane Helene relief.

During his hometown "Highway Desperado" tour appearance in Macon, Georgia, in October, Aldean revealed that $7,039,604 was raised in a weeklong GoFundMe campaign launched by Trump, which included a donation of $500,000 by the performer and his wife, Brittany Aldean.

On Inauguration Day, Aldean performed an hour's worth of songs, including “Burnin’ It Down,” controversial pop-crossover hit “Try That In A Small Town" and “She’s Country.”

During the latter's performance, the singer-songwriter observed an audience member requiring emergency medical attention.

Once made aware of the crowd member's safety, Aldean continued performing.

After his set, Aldean added, “Thank you guys so much for having us out tonight. We appreciate it! God bless President Trump and God Bless America. Thank you so much!”

In a Monday CBS Mornings interview, Aldean summed up his emotions about being included in the festivities and how it reflects something of a career and life evolution.

“I’ve done a lot of things in my career, a lot of things I never thought I would do, but playing for the inauguration for one of our presidents is something that I’ve never done. It’s a special day for me; I’m honored to be here. This is a different world for me a little bit.”
