Bruce Springsteen comments in Europe spark Boss vs. Trump war of words

It looks like President Donald Trump and Bruce Springsteen were not born to run together. The pair have engaged in a war of words recently, and every time one speaks, the other ups the ante.
Springsteen began the bickering when he took shots at Trump during a May 14 show in Manchester, England, the first concert of the E Street Band's European tour.
"In my home, the America I love, the America I’ve written about, and has been a beacon of hope and liberty for 250 years, is currently in the hands of a corrupt, incompetent and treasonous administration,” Springsteen said during a May 16 concert.
“Tonight we ask all who believe in democracy and the best of our American experiment to rise with us, raise your voices against authoritarianism and let freedom ring.”
Not surprisingly, Trump had a response.
He said he never liked the Jersey rocker and that Trump thinks Springsteen is as dumb as a rock.
"I see that Highly Overrated Bruce Springsteen goes to a Foreign Country to speak badly about the President of the United States," he wrote. "Never liked him, never liked his music, or his Radical Left Politics and, importantly, he's not a talented guy - Just a pushy, obnoxious JERK, who fervently supported Crooked Joe Biden, a mentally incompetent FOOL, and our WORST EVER President, who came close to destroying our Country."
Springsteen wasn't deterred.
The man Trump also called a dried up prune had a response at his May 17 concert in Manchester.
“There's some very weird, strange, and dangerous (blank) going on out there right now,” said Springsteen. “In America, they are persecuting people for using their right to free speech and voicing their dissent. This is happening now.”
Trump once again responded, also accusing Springsteen of cheating to help Trump's opponent in the 2024 election, Kamala Harris.
“HOW MUCH DID KAMALA HARRIS PAY BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN FOR HIS POOR PERFORMANCE DURING HER CAMPAIGN FOR PRESIDENT?” he wrote on his social media site Truth Social. “WHY DID HE ACCEPT THAT MONEY IF HE IS SUCH A FAN OF HERS? ISN’T THAT A MAJOR AND ILLEGAL CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTION? WHAT ABOUT BEYONCÉ? …AND HOW MUCH WENT TO OPRAH, AND BONO??? I am going to call for a major investigation into this matter. Candidates aren’t allowed to pay for ENDORSEMENTS, which is what Kamala did, under the guise of paying for entertainment.”
Now all eyes are on Bruce, who plays Manchester again on Tuesday, May 20.
Springsteen isn't the only musician Trump has had problems with recently.
In addition to calling out Beyoncé and Bono, he also said Taylor Swift isn't hot anymore since she endorsed Harris.
While Trump said he doesn't like Springsteen, he must have about a decade ago when he used Springsteen's "Born to Run" during his campaign.
Springsteen put an end to it.
