Lil Wayne is celebrating 'Tha Carter' series on 34-city tour, including Milwaukee concert

Less than a year after playing Fiserv Forum, seminal hip-hop superstar Lil Wayne is coming back to Milwaukee.

This time, one of the Green Bay Packers' most passionate celebrity fans will be playing the American Family Insurance Amphitheater — the site of his Summerfest shows in 2019 and 2022 — as part of a 34-city tour behind his latest album "Tha Carter VI." The tour is billed as a celebration of Wayne's landmark "Tha Carter" album series that began 21 years ago.

Tyga and Belly Gang Kushington will open the Milwaukee concert Aug. 22.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. June 6 at the box office (200 N. Harbor Drive) and amfamamp.com, with presales beginning June 4 through Lil Wayne's website. Prices have yet to be announced.
