More than 20 fun facts about Wisconsin 'Farmer Wants a Wife' finalist Karina Sabol, from her favorite restaurant to the school she went to
We'd tune into "Farmer Wants a Wife" until the cows come home. But, alas, Season 3 is nearing the end of the road.
While Farmer J'Marick "Jay" Woods has been getting to know Wisconsin contestant, ope, we mean finalist Karina Sabol all season long, we got to know her better when she graciously swung by the Journal Sentinel newsroom recently for a rapid-fire Q&A of sorts.
This season's four farmers are down to their final two daters. For Woods, it's between Sabol and Grace Clark — not to be confused with Wisconsinite Grace Girard from Season 2.
From Sabol's favorite restaurant — it's in Madison — to her favorite things about farm life, here are more than 20 fun facts about the local celeb:
Question: What's your hometown and where do you live now?
Answer: I'm originally from Middleton, but now I live in Madison, Wisconsin.
Where did you go to school?
I attended the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
What do you do now?
I currently work as an operations manager at a company in Milwaukee. And then, I coach gymnastics on the side.
What's something that's super-important to you?
My family is definitely the most important thing to me.
Indoors or outdoors?
I'm definitely an outdoors girly.
What are your favorite things to do outdoors?
Farmers markets, hiking, riding horses. Anything where there's green grass.
What's your favorite restaurant?
My favorite restaurant is La Brioche in Madison because they have the best desserts.
What's your favorite food?
I love dessert. So, it definitely has to be a chocolate cake or a chocolate tart.
What's your favorite watering hole?
It would have to be somewhere that has margaritas.
What's your favorite place to shop?
My favorite place to shop is usually Anthropologie.
What's your favorite place in the world?
My favorite place in the world is Alaska. Traveling there, and watching all the shows and everything. It is truly incredible.
Who are your favorite musicians or bands?
My all-time favorite bands would definitely have to be Ziggy Alberts to Kip Moore. But, right now, I'm on a Benson Boone kick.
What's one app you couldn't live without?
I think it would have to be my Apple Music app because I'm a huge music junkie.
What's your favorite movie?
My all-time favorite movie right now is "Interstellar."
What's your favorite TV show?
My favorite TV show right now is "1923."
What are you currently reading?
I'm currently reading the "Fourth Wing" series. And, I'm on Book 2 and I am obsessed.
What's your favorite sport?
My favorite sport is definitely hockey.
What's your favorite sports team?
My favorite sports team definitely are the Badgers.
What's something that would surprise people about yourself?
I took my drivers test driving stick shift — and had to parallel park — and passed.
What is your biggest accomplishment?
I think my biggest accomplishment, now, is knowing to put myself out there and be really confident with who I am.
What's your favorite thing about farm life?
The peace and quietness, as well as being out in the outdoors.
What's your favorite thing about Farmer Jay?
I think Farmer Jay has really good morals. And, has a really good amount of confidence.
