Who won 'The Golden Bachelorette'? Joan Vassos gave her final rose to this man

That's a wrap, Bachelor Nation!
The first season of "The Golden Bachelorette" came to an end Wednesday, with 61-year-old Joan Vassos giving away her final rose.
Fans have followed along as "The Golden Bachelorette" cast whittled down from 24 eligible bachelors to the final two contestants: Chock Chapple, a 60-year-old insurance executive from Wichita, Kansas, and Guy Gansert, a 66-year-old emergency room doctor from Reno, Nevada.
So, who received Vassos' coveted rose Wednesday? Here's a look.
Who won 'The Golden Bachelorette'?
In an emotional season finale, Joan Vassos gave her final rose to Chock Chapple, which he accepted. The couple got engaged during the final Golden Rose Ceremony.
Even before the finale, an Instagram post from TV blogger Reality Steve prompted rumors that Chapple had won the show. However, Vassos told People magazine in September that getting engaged on "The Golden Bachelorette" wasn’t important to her, so it wouldn't have been surprising if she ended her season without a ring.
At the time of this story's publication, Vassos and Chapple were still together.
Who is Chock Chapple from 'The Golden Bachelorette'?
According to his ABC bio, Chapple is "kind, loves adventure, and has had a successful career owning his own business."
When he's not working, Chapple spends time with his kids and his black labrador Super Tubbs, exercises and roots for the Kansas City Chiefs. His guilty pleasure is shopping, and he's a self-proclaimed grill master.
He also went nighttime shark diving in Australia once and hopes that Chevy Camaros with T-tops "make a comeback."
Chapple's bio states the 60-year-old is a total "relationship guy" and is excited about "finding that spark again."
Who will be the next 'Golden Bachelor'?
ABC has not announced the next lead of " The Golden Bachelor." However, BachelorNation.com reports that fans have been calling for Mark Anderson, a 57-year-old Army veteran from Leesville, Lousiana, and Charles Ling, a 66-year-old retired financial analyst from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to be the potential frontrunners for the franchise's next leading man.
Where to watch 'The Golden Bachelorette' finale
"The Golden Bachelorette" finale aired Wednesday on ABC, but fans can stream it Thursday on Hulu.
