Wendy Williams cancels public appearances due to 'ongoing health issues'

Wendy Williams, star of TV's “The Wendy Williams Show,” is not feeling well.

The TV personality is “dealing with some ongoing health issues and is undergoing further evaluations,” according to a Thursday post on her “Wendy Show” Instagram account.

“She will not be able to complete her promotional activities next week, but can't wait to be back in her purple chair on Monday, September 20th for the 13th season premiere,” the post states.

What health issues specifically, and where Williams is at the moment, was not revealed. A request for more information from her rep was not replied to by press time.

Fans were concerned, commenting on the post with lots of praying hands emojis.

“God please take over,” commented one fan.

"Hang in there Wendy!! Looking forward to September 20!" another fan added.

Williams suffers from Graves' disease, an autoimmune disorder. In May 2020, Williams took a break of her show as she was experiencing fatigue because of symptoms from Graves', which leads to overactive thyroid hormones and can affect one's overall health. Williams had previously announced that she had Graves’ disease in 2018 as the show stopped production then, also.

Williams was filmed in lymphedema compression machine during much of her interview on “Wendy Williams: What a Mess,” which followed the premiere of “Wendy Williams: The Movie” on Lifetime in January. Lymphedema, triggered by Graves', is swelling that generally occurs in one or both of the arms or legs often caused by damage to the lymph nodes, according to the Mayo Clinic.

Williams, 57, split from her ex-husband Kevin Hunter, with whom she shares son Kevin Jr., in 2019, following 20 years of marriage.
