Apple TV+ is free for everyone this weekend. Here's what you need to know.
The New Year is here and in honor of the festivities, Apple is offering a three-day promotion for those wanting to stream shows and movies on Apple TV+.
According to an announcement from the tech giant, a free all-access Apple TV+ pass will be available for everyone during the first weekend of 2025 from Friday Jan. 3 to Sunday, Jan. 5, the company said in a news release.
The service will be free on any device that supports Apple TV+. Customers who want to watch must sign in with their Apple ID.
Apple also said in its announcement that for a limited time, customers who buy and activate a new iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Mac, or iPod touch will get three months of Apple TV+ for free. The deal is valid for three months after the first activation of the device.
What’s available on Apple TV+?
Apple TV+ normally costs $9.99 a month and is available in over 100 countries and regions.
Customers can stream using iPhones, iPads, Apple TVs, Apple Vision Pros, Macs, as well as televisions from brands such as Samsung, LG, Sony, VIZIO, TCL and others.
It’s also available on Roku and Amazon Fire TV devices, Chromecast with Google TV, PlayStation and Xbox gaming consoles as well as at www.tv.apple.com.
Customers who use the streaming service can choose from shows such as “Ted Lasso,” as well as Ben Stiller’s “Severance,” which returns for its second season on Jan. 17.
