'American Murder: Gabby Petito' is available on Netflix: How to watch
The three-part documentary series was released on Netflix on Monday, Feb. 17.
It's the saga that made major headlines in 2021.
"American Murder: Gabby Petito," a three-episode docuseries now available on Netflix, gives insight into the disappearance of the 22-year-old influencer who died after going on a road trip with her fiancé, Brian Laundrie.
"The series captures the reality of a young woman enmeshed in an abusive relationship behind closed doors — even as she put on a happy, 'Insta-perfect' face for social media," Netflix said in a press release.
Petito's family and friends were interviewed for the documentary.

The three-part docuseries debuted on Feb. 17 and is currently available on the streaming platform.
What happened to Gabby Petito?
Petito and Laundrie went on a cross-country road trip in August 2021, documenting their journey on social media. On Sept. 1, Laundrie shockingly returned to his parents’ Florida home without Petito. The case captivated mainstream media and internet sleuths for weeks.
Her body was found near Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming on Sept. 19, and a coroner ruled her death a homicide. Laundrie, who was the sole person of interest in her death, later died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
