Cincinnati stuns Virginia Tech with late touchdown (VIDEO)
Virginia Tech was looking for a key win after an embarrassing loss to Pittsburgh. Cincinnati was looking to stay unbeaten.
It all came down to one play. The Bearcats were trailing 24-20 with 20 seconds left. They had the ball on the Hokies 39.
Cincinnati quarterback Munchie Legaux drops back and faces a fierce Virginia Tech rush. The rest is history.
Legaux lofts a ball down the left sideline and Damon Julian makes a sliding catch in front of defender Kyle Fuller.
The touchdown capped an 85-yard drive in the final two minutes after Tech had gone ahead on a Logan Thomas pass to Corey Fuller.
At 3-0, the Bearcats are a strong candidate to enter the Top 25 this week.
Virginia Tech is now 3-2 with losses to two Big East schools. The silver lining is the Hokies are 1-0 in the Atlantic Coast Conference and still have hope of winning their division IF they can get things turned around.
