Junior hockey team makes goofy One Direction parody (VIDEO)

Can't let the old guys have all the fun.

The North American Hockey League's Kalamazoo Junior Wings watched their senior counterparts make a goofy parody music video for Wham's Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go, and they decided to go modern for a one-up move. The Junior K-Wings, as they're known, made the smart decision to avoid the way-dated Call Me Maybe in favor of One Direction's Live While We're Young.

The boy-band route fits this team better anyway, as the oldest members of the K-Wings still legally can't drink. And the shaggy hair fits.

Here's the video:

Our favorite part? We really enjoy the player strumming on the hockey-stick guitar at about 1 minute, 26 seconds. It's difficult to read his number, but we think that's 20-year-old Orland Park, Ill., native Danny Hamburg. His passion is wonderful.

There's also the incredible green-screen work involving the ocean, Antartica and the moon, complete with corresponding dance moves.

And there's that brief bit of line-reading at the beginning, courtesy of No. 26 Luc Boby and No. 14 Kyle Gattelaro. "That K-Wings music video was pretty good, huh?"

Well, you decide. Here's the original K-Wings video:

We prefer the kids' version, even if the old guys have a better song and better effects. Those darn kids are going crazy, crazy, crazy, crazy.
