LeBron James jokes about buying Sacramento Kings (VIDEO)

Sacramento mayor Kevin Johnson desperately wants to keep the Kings in town. The former NBA point guard, who has held the office since 2008, has been at the forefront of the city's attempt to save their NBA franchise, despite reports that a deal is in place to move the team to Seattle.

At this point, Johnson seems to be pursuing any avenue he can, even joking with Miami Heat star LeBron James at a charity event Friday night about possibly buying the team, league rules be damned.

Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson playfully suggests LeBron James should buy the Kings. Rumors have been spreading that the team is moving to Seattle.

James was a good sport during the whole thing, looking a lot more comfortable on a stage with two chairs opposite Johnson than let's say, someone like Jim Gray.
