Matthew Dellavedova's buzzer-beater might be year's best
Did the college basketball powers make a collective decision to make this the week of the buzzer-beater?
Marshall Henderson seemed like a lock to have the month's best clutch shot after keeping Ole Miss alive Tuesday against Vanderbilt by forcing overtime with a desperation heave. Alex Len's putback Wednesday technically wasn't a buzzer-beater, but it's hard to turn your nose up at a last-second shot that clinched Maryland's upset of No. 15 North Carolina State.
But St. Mary's guard Matthew Dellavedova might have hit the shot of the season so far.
BYU guard Tyler Haws seemingly hit the game-clinching shot when he sunk a fallaway jumper with 2.5 seconds left to put the Cougars up 69-67 over the Gaels.
But Dellavedova took the inbound pass near halfcourt, dribbled once and hoisted an off-balance jumper you have to see to believe.
